Seasonal Color & Miniature Gardens

Welcome in the seasons by bringing seasonal annual color to your landscape. We design and plant warm and cool season annuals for your flowerbeds and create beautiful miniature gardens in containers for you.

What is Mulch?

Mulch is made up of chopped up tree bark and other elements from trees and plants. It is used as a rich natural slow release fertilizer for your garden and is best applied twice a year. It enriches your soil and your plants and as an added benefit, adds a beautiful rich color and texture to your beds.

About the Mulch Program

We can add several inches of mulch to your garden beds upon request or by adding you to our list of clients who get mulch delivered and applied to their garden once or twice a year on a regular basis. Mulch will add nutrients to your soil and thus your plants and is also a great natural weed retardant. If you’d like to discuss the options for your garden, please be in touch.

Soil Soup

Soil Soup or Compost Tea are terms used synonymously for an aerobically brewed concoction made from brewing compost (green and brown garden debri) with water. It is alive and filled with millions of healthy soil biota (living creatures). Because it is brewed with oxygen, it contains very low pathogen counts and very high levels of beneficial bacteria for your garden.

Containing living organisms, it must be used quickly (within 10 hours of making). This concoction is sprayed directly onto the soil, plants or turf. If you would like to bring more vibrancy to your gardens, consider using this product. Its benefits are great.

Seasonal Bulb Program

Enjoy the surprise and color that bulbs can add to your garden. The Village Gardener can order and plant a wide variety of bulbs of your choosing for your landscape. We need to plan ahead for bulb planting – so let us know the types of flowers or colors you are looking for and what season you’d like them to bloom. We can help you create a beautiful vision.

Special Event Services

If you are planning an outdoor event or party and need some special attention paid to your landscape or hardscape, the Village Gardener can assist.
